About Me

Hello!

My name is Mrs. Elizabeth Pasquale Hall and I am starting my ninth year with Yough School District and my sixth year in First grade! Ever since I was little I have known that I wanted to be a teacher. Finally, after a long journey through school I have made it and have a class of my own.

Education

I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Education. During my time in college I spent a year abroad studying at Chichester University, England and Jonkoping University, Sweden receiving a degree in Education. This experience abroad was life changing to say the least. Every day I am thankful for the opportunity it provided me and the adventures I was able to take while living in Europe. I also graduated with my Master in the Spring of 2016 for Educational Development and Strategies.

Adventures

Adventuring through other countries is a huge passion of mine. I believe it is beyond important to understand the world around us including both the natural and cultural geography. One summer I spent a few months in Nepal teaching in a rural village.

Throughout my time there I raised money to help the village build a classroom to continue education past the 8th grade.

I have backpacked throughout Southeast Asia volunteering and learning about their education system. I visited schools in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Burma.

The following year I visited South America for 3 months visiting Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. The culture was vibrant and colorful and very different from everywhere else I had previously explored. A highlight was learning to salsa dance in Colombia and staying in Cali, Colombia for a few weeks to progress.

I am passionate about teaching my students about the world and different cultures. This passion has led me to continue to travel every summer since graduating to learn as much as I can. Since starting my journey I have made it to 5 continents and 72 countries.

A Little About Me

I grew up in a town about 40 minutes outside of Pittsburgh, Pa on a beautiful farm. Growing up I raised cows, horses, llamas, and now even a donkey!

Skiing is one of my greatest passions! I grew up skiing at a small resort named Hidden Valley. Later on I started ski racing and could not stop once I started. In college I had the opportunity to race for the Penn State Ski Team for 3 years and race at nationals every year! I currently am working as a coach for the Hidden Valley Race Team. For the past 9 years I have been coaching kids of all ages in ski racing!

I also love to climb and hike anywhere I can. Nature is beautiful and is found all around us. One of my most proud moments is hiking to Everest Base Camp and to the summit of Kala Pattar in the Himalayas.

I also enjoy fishing. Every year growing up my family has taken a fishing trip into the heart and soul of Canada. My dad is my fishing partner for life.

I will try anything once if it means I will learn something (and I will not die!) I love learning. Since I was a little girl I have wanted to learn about everything and I mean EVERYTHING. I have been specifically interested in learning about others.
