Olympic Wall
This is our wall where students are awarded for their achievements. Earlier in the year I met with each student and set bronze, silver, and gold medal goals for each student based on their achievements so far. Every student is assigned a magic number that only they know and whenever they achieve a goal they get to move up on the wall. It has motivated a lot of students!!!

The World
The back wall of our room has a world map. I do not believe that it is ever too early to start learning about the rest of the world. During Christmas and a few times throughout the year we take trips to learn about other areas. When we are done we create an art project and display it on the back wall. Each country is titled with a person wearing traditional dress, country flag, and a string running to where it is in the world map. Being an avid traveler this is one of my favorite parts of the classroom and my students seem to enjoy this as well!
I see the Pinterest board exploding with all of these wonderful ideas. You truly are an inspiration to teaching! Keep up the good work!
