Get Well Soon

I would like to dedicate one of my first posts to CONNOR HALL. Connor has been a great friend these past few years and I would like to wish him the best on his recovery from a skiing accident. He is by far one of the funniest, most fun loving people I know!

Right after the accident I was pretty upset and had mentioned to my students that one of my best friends had been hurt. I did not say any of the details other than his name was Connor. Without asking me for help many of the students took it upon themselves to use their recess time to create get well cards. They sat down together and asked one another for help on figuring out how to spell "Get Well Connor" and other various messages. The outcome was incredible. Although many words were spelled wrong, I  was amazed that they had taken their free time to create mini works of art for a complete stranger! It made my day!

My First Bulletin Board!

Finally, it time to start putting up some posts! I will be posting starting at the beginning of the year and trying to put up all the stuff I did. My hope is that I will get caught up and be able to post as I go along. I may add some current things in as I go along if I cant help it :)

The beginning of the year was a very exciting time. My first long term sub job and my first job in general. It was a very new experience filled with by excitement and extreme nerves. My first task (other than arrange the room that would soon be mine for half a year) was creating a school bulletin board that is the main centerpiece walking down the hall. This was the outcome!!!!

Posing with my first bulletin board as a working teaching!

I attached little information facts about September all throughout the board.

Close up on the book facts!

The apples and birds were my favorite!

Whoo knew making bulletin boards could be so much fun!

More to come very soon!

My First Blog

Greetings!!!

For months I have admired many education blogs that amazing teachers across the world have created. These blogs have not only helped me by giving me ideas in my classroom but they have also helped to inspire my own creations. I have loved the idea of creating my own blog to share my ideas but have never found the time to do so. Now the time is finally here!

Welcome to my blog!

First, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Miss Pasquale and I am a recent graduate of Penn State University and Jonkoping University. I was fortunate enough to study education for 3 years at PSU as well as year abroad in England and Sweden. My time abroad shaped and changed me into the person I am today. Everyone needs to travel abroad at some point and put themselves completely out there, you never know what you will learn.

As I grew up I knew I always wanted to be a teacher. My entire life I knew that I wanted to help others and spread as much knowledge as possible. So after years of education it finally led me to where I am today, a new teacher. Originally I was fortunate enough to get a long term sub position right out of college in a Title 1 position. Shortly after being at the school a position in Kindergarten opened up and I applied. After a few weeks I received the phone call announcing that I would become the new Kindergarten teacher and I have been thrilled, tired, and busy all at the same time since!

Since I am starting my blog part way through my adventure I will attempt at times to catch up on some things I have done already. For not however, I will start off from where I am today and will be jumping around for some time. Hopefully I will catch up at one point but as a teacher I know it seems like there is always something to do and it is almost impossible to get ahead of the game!

Hope You Enjoy!
