Today my students and the students of Mendon Elementary brought me to tears. Twice the school got together to celebrate those men and women who have and still are fighting for our country and our freedom. All of the grades put on wonderful performances. A big thanks to everyone who came out and saw the program.
The kindergarten sang a Veteran's Day song to the tune of Danny Boy. The boys proudly held flags and the girls carried beautiful poppies. Everyone came dressed in their best full of red, white, and blue colors.
This little one had the ultimate display of American Pride!
This year Mendon Elementary made a special bulletin board to thank the veterans. Every student in the school traced their hand and together we made an entire flag. A "hand" for our Veteran's.
Congrats students of 104 you did a wonderful job and thank you to all of our veterans.
