Yesterday we had the pleasure of getting a few extra moments to breath and relax. The kiddos had such a great day that we ended everything early. Instead of jamming in one more activity I decided it was time to grab a book and relax in the garden. As I mentioned in a previous post, we are so lucky to have a beautiful garden where the kids can go.
Students chose a spot on one of the benches.
It was nice to get out in the sun. The students really enjoyed it and loved getting to relax and dive into their books!
We gathered together by the little pavilion to share the books that we had picked. I am hoping to get some more opportunities outside as the weather only continues to get more beautiful!
Reading outside in the sunshine is such a great way to learn. Not only does it give the children an opportunity to get a "change" in the daily routine", but is also allows for children to soak up some Vitamin D, which is always beneficial for brain growth!
